The Virginia Association of First Responders (VAFR) is seeking a highly organized and motivated professional to serve as our Training Coordinator.  Email your resume to [email protected] by April 17th, 2026.

This key position supports, coordinates, and advances VAFR training programs across the Commonwealth. The Training Coordinator works closely with the Training Officer, Training & Education Committee, volunteer training officers, and instructor cadre to support course delivery, event planning, training systems, records management, and the continued development of the VAFR Learning Management System (LMS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate statewide training programs and course logistics
  • Support major VAFR training events, including Symposium, Convention, and Spring BOG Training
  • Manage course registrations, training records, and reporting
  • Assist with LMS implementation and online course development
  • Oversee training equipment, vehicles, and related assets
  • Support training materials, brochures, and course catalogs
  • Assist with Office of EMS continuing education reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in program coordination, training administration, or a related field
  • Experience with first responder training programs
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Experience coordinating large-scale training events
